Ul is a global safety science company. At their Ashwood site in Basingstoke they needed to create a fresh new ‘break out’ area.

The existing kitchen and labs were removed to create a clear space with which to work with. The area was then fitted out with a large kitchen with plenty of preparation space, and a large dining area.

Soft furnishings were then added to give a modern bright space, for both staff and customers. The company found that the space also acted as an informal and relaxed meeting area.

Within this new facility, UL also required a meeting room to accommodate 12 people. By using a fully glazed partitioning system we gave the area a sense of light and space, which could be changed if privacy was required during a meeting with integral venetian blinds.
